Celebrating One Year of In Plain Sight!!

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a whole year since I released Ry and Eli’s story into the wild! That it immediately became an Amazon Hot New Release was a dream come true, and since then it’s continued to capture the hearts of new fans from around the world.

To celebrate the one year anniversary of In Plain Sight, I’m offering the Kindle version for 99 cents (US and UK markets) and for those of you who still like physical books to hold in your hands, I have signed copies available for $15 each (this includes tax and shipping).

There truly aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for the love and support I’ve received from everyone throughout this journey!! Thank you!!

PS… anyone who adds a picture of themselves in comments reading In Plain Sight will be entered to win a free audiobook version from Audible! Entries must be posted by August 31st and winners will be announced on September 2nd.

Summer Sale

I know I’ve been quiet, and I’d like to say it’s because I’ve been editing Darkharte like mad, but alas, I’ve been sort of working on something else. Which is good… but also bad, because I definitely wasn’t looking at starting anything new. XD

In the meantime, the Kindle version of In Plain Sight is only 99 cents right now!! Grab your copy today before this great deal runs out!!

IPS Sequel Contest

A huge thank you to everyone who submitted their guesses over the last month as to who might be featured in a sequel to In Plain Sight. As I feared, no one got the right answer–and to be fair it was kind of a trick question to begin with–but still it was great to see all the wonderful ideas you all had. Though I’m still not ready to announce the actual answer (I really don’t want to spoil the surprise), all who submitted were entered into the drawing, as promised. The winners were chosen randomly and have been sent their free audiobook codes. If anyone has any issues redeeming their codes, please let me know.

Happy February!! 🙂

Just in Time for the Holidays: Audio

In Plain Sight audio

I got word today that the audio version of In Plain Sight has been released!!! It will be available on Audible, Amazon and iTunes. If you sign up for a trial of Audible you can get it for free!!

I’m really excited that I was able to get an audio version of my book produced. Not only because there are those of us who like to listen to books while we do other things – work, drive, or do other creative endeavors. But also because I like the idea of having books (and all the wonderful stories within them) be accessible to as many people as possible, even those who are visually impaired or have some other disability that makes reading difficult.

In any case, please enjoy!!

NCWN: Open Mic

A huge thank you to the North Carolina Writers’ Network for hosting the Open Mic event last night. I had a great time sharing my work and listing to other authors as they shared theirs.

The entire Open Mic is available to listen to below. And though I absolutely hate hearing my own voice, you can to listen to me reading an except of In Plain Sight starting around 49:30.

Enjoy!!

Events: Holly Springs Book Festival

I had an absolutely awesome time at the Holly Springs Book Festival yesterday. Want to give a huge shoutout to my fellow Romance Writers panelists, Amie Knight and Reese Ryan. We had so much fun, and I am so glad to have met you both!

Countdown: One Week To Go!!

It’s hard to believe it, but In Plain Sight will released into the wild this time next week. From concept to completion, the telling Ry’s story has been a long time coming – over 10 years. For those of you who have stuck with me along the way,  there aren’t words enough to express how thankful I am for your support and feedback. I couldn’t have done it without you.

Anyway, to celebrate, I’m having a little release party over on Facebook on August 7th from 7p to 11p EST. Drop on by anytime during that time to hang out and party! Lots of fun and maybe even a few giveaways!! Can’t wait!!!

PS… Don’t forget that I’m donating 50% of all presale royalties to help a friend in need (you can read all about it here). So it’s a good time to get a great book to read and help someone out of a rough situation. ❤

A Little Fundraiser

I recently had a friend who passed away after a long battle with stage IV breast cancer. She was an amazing woman and a true fighter, and though she was very much not ready to go (nor were any of us ready to lose her), sometimes cancer just doesn’t care about our own desires.

My primary way of dealing with grief has always been to just keep as busy as possible, all while not talking much about it – and this is pretty much what I’ve been doing. However, I have also been wanting to do something to help raise funds for her fiance because I know he’s still got a lot to take care of even while struggling with his own grief. So I got to thinking, since my debut novel In Plain Sight is coming out on August 7th, and with the Kindle version currently available for presale on Amazon, I am going to donate 50% of all presale royalties raised between now and August 7th to her fiance’s GoFund Me campaign.

I invite you all to help me make this an epic gift in Larissa’s honor!

Release Date for In Plain Sight

In Plain Sight preorder

My debut novel, In Plain Sight, will be released on August 7, 2018!! The Kindle version is currently available for pre-order on Amazon. Print copies will also be available by that date (not sure about pre-order yet).

For those of you who have been working with me on this project over the years, you may recall that particular day is a significant one in the book. Once I realized how close I was to getting everything together and ready for publishing , it quickly became clear that was the perfect day to launch Ry and Eli’s story into the universe.

I’m still working on pricing for the print copies – that’s my main hold up at the moment, now that I’ve finished all the last minute editing. My original set up is pricing a lot higher than I want it to (due to some of the distribution options I’ve picked), so I’m going to fiddle around with it some more to see if I can’t get the price down some. Either way, the Kindle version will be $3.99 when it’s released, and for those that don’t have a Kindle, there is a free Kindle reader app that is available for almost any device. But if you are like me, having a physical book in-hand is a lovely thing, so I will definitely continue to look for a solution that allow that happen in the best possible way.

I’m so happy the way this all worked out and I really can’t wait to share my book with you all.
